Any suggestions for a wallpaper design as a backsplash?

We need to do a tile backsplash in the kitchen but that project's on hold for a little bit... In the meantime, I would love to do a wallpaper backsplash just polish the area better. I don't have a great eye for design and I'm curious what people would recommend as a wallpaper backsplash option. White cabinets with black unhoned countertop... I included a picture of the floor tile in the mud room because I love geometric design, but I don't know if it's going to be too much with the contrast of the tile in the same room. Any ideas are very welcomed!!

Love this idea, wallpaper is so personal but I love Schumacher’s Queen of Spain, it loses some effect in the shorter area of the BS AND not sure if the background would not be white enough for your cabs, but thought i’d throw it out there anyway -

Love the mud room tile! Do you have any extras of those? You could tape some up and see if you like them as a backsplash too. I love wallpaper, but I’m not sure I’d want it behind my range.

Paint on the backsplash area will work just fine until you are ready to install tile. If you really want to do wallpaper, there are lots of vinyl ones that are cleanable. Not sure about putting it behind a range that gets hot ...

You could do wallpaper with a glass overlay instead of tile. This was done with fabric, but it's the same idea.

Keep your solution easy and inexpensive. Select a peel-and-stick wallpaper from Tempaper

Sabrina's example is really nice, love that fabric ... but getting glass cut and mounted isn't cheap, so I would save my money for the eventual backsplash tile/installation costs.

Peel and stick tiles are easy to install and will be more durable. There are so many nice designs to choose from as well.

I’ve had a textured paper wallpaper for the last 3 years and it has stood up amazingly eell.

The trick is to paint over it with a coat or 2 of ”Dead flat varnish ( Amazon) leaving yoy with a very easy to clean back splash.

Choose a vinyl product. You won't have to coat it.

I love wallpaper and have it in every room of my house. The key to an easy install and future removal of wallpaper is proper preparation. Is the drywall in your backsplash area new drywall or old drywall? Because if it is new drywall, you have to take extra steps for prep. Do not slap wallpaper on new raw drywall.
