I’d consider an asymmetrical linear fixture.

It’s personal preference but i would probably skip pendants and just have the space be open - pretty kitchen!

Unfortunately, we need more lighting. Even in the day, the windows on the back open to a covered porch, so it is not bright. The “puc” lights are too glaring for nighttime

I cant tell, is the sink off centered? My peninsula is 103" and I have two large pendants. I dont have a sink to contend with though. I would want a light over the sink. If the sink is centered, easy, I would do 3 smaller ones with one over the sink.

IF off centered idk, I think it would be weird and would do no pendants. Someone's advice on doing one large linear fixture could be the best in that scenario. Actually the more I look at your island the more I like the linear idea. A lot of things arent aligned and this would tie it together.

I personally like glass lights since they dont block the view or close the space in (though they require dusting).

Symmetry was already broken here. And symmetry is only symmetry from one sinke point, that you would have to stand in constantly, and never move. As soon as you move, things will not appear symmetrical. Symmetry is WAY overrated. Balance is more important. And so is the amount of light produced, and directed onto a work surface. Just put in recessed lights, not pendants. Looks like you could use a few more recessed lights as well.
