In reference to the origin of BellaCitta, other than being made in china, it is basically a copy of DuChateau, nothing more, it was invented by the Original DuChateau Distributor for the florida territory after DuChateau decided to swap distributors and have the largest us flooring distributor to stock, sale and service DC dealers & customers. They wanted more sales, better stock!
Same dealer today represents in the US major most major name brands, for example: Mirage (#1 hardwood manufacture in the world, 16 times consecutive), Triangulo, Indusparquet and many others.

DuChateau has been showcased in many tv shows, for example: The House of Rock, also specified by architects for the use on many 5 star hotels across the US, The Playboy mansion has it on the main area and stairs, and many more places (I will suggest you to visit the DC Blog for extra info).

DuChateau it is CARB Certified, LACEY, FSC Certified, Member of the Global Relief Program and LEED Certified.

Also as a dealer is very important to have available a factory cleaner and a maintenance oil this type of floors and we believe that DuChateau does a great job packaging and distributing the same oils/wax used during manufacturing to assure a proper care.

Stick with the original if budget allows it, I know that DuChateau may cost an additional $2-$3 per square foot, and that a lot but you get a lot more for your money. And always remember that to install the floor it will cost the same, regardless from being BellaCitta or DC, it is just the material that you are spending a little bit more money. That will be my recommendation.
