We have a tight foyer. I don't have a photo here, but it is very much like the two that I found here from houzz (Thank you for the photos), except that my entryway is beige ceramic floor and the hallway is hardwood (cinnamon color) and narrower, and the wall color is beige/light yellow . Since we like to walk barefoot, I already got a long runner to cover the entire hallway. Now I am trying to find an oversized doormat to cover most of the entry space (approximately 4.5'' x 6.5''). I know that would be too much rugs in this small space, but I really want to avoid the cold hard ceramic floor when I walk down the stairs. So my question now is to choose a right rug that can make the foyer look less horrible, and if possible, to match my existing runner.

Should I go with a 4x6 rug which is the same pattern as my runner (maybe this color is too light to be functional as a doormat?) Any suggestions or thoughts, please? Thank you very much!
