What is the proper height for tv placement? Is it too hight to place a tv over a fireplace?

TV placement tends to be personal preference. Personally, I prefer NOT to have a TV over the fireplace. It seems like such a good idea, but it's just too high. The screen should be at eye level when seated.

I also prefer a TV screen at or below eye level when seated - but sometimes in a room such as this, there's just no other logical place to put it but over the fireplace.
