Do you buy a drop in or an alcove with apron and tile the front?

For a tub/shower combination I do wish I had gone with a standard cast iron tub. Fewer worries and will hold up better over time. Cast iron tubs are much more shallow though - not the best for a deep soak but much easier to climb in and out of daily. So much more solid feeling though when you stand in it daily and shower. They also have an integral flange so fewer leak worries. There are always trade offs!

Why didn't you use the beveled border at the bottom of the window? - Looks strange.

it looks like a marble ledge at bottom of window to match the marble ledge at the back of tub

The tile job is a hot mess. Small tile on bottom and top. Framed out the window with tile and then used a small piece on the top that isn’t even centered. This would have looked much nicer just tiling from the bottom up tiling with a straight run.

HI i love the design...but...this tub is not meant for an alcove installation with a shower combo..what kind of waterproofing did you do in order to prevent leaks? I love this tub but the model without the skirt has no tile flange and I'm not sure how to resolve this...Thank you

Does the window in the bathroom offer any privacy? - Hello. We are renovating a bathroom which has a large window behind the bathtub. The window is currently made of glass blocks, but we would like to find an alternative which lets in light but still offers privacy. Does the window with the orchid offer any privacy?

You can install a window with frosted / translucent glass or install a clear glass window and install a translucent hinges glass panel in front of it , similar to a shower door.

Does the window have be be covered to use the shower? - Looks like the whole window area would be covered with water unless some kind of window covering was used? Kindly advise.

Beverly, the window sill has a piece of marble as the sill and is pitched towards the tub so standing water is not an issue. Christa
