We recently worked with Derek and his Cashmere Construction crew to remodel our main bath. They are a first class operation and we were very pleased with their work. Derek was great at keeping in touch with us all throughout the project letting us know who would be coming each day, what they would be doing and when they would arrive. He was accessible and knowledgeable. His crew was professional, friendly, hardworking and respectful of us and cleaned up each day. We highly recommend Derek and his crew and would not hesitate to call them for future projects.

We would highly recommend Cashmere Construction for your remodeling needs. They helped us with water damaged wall repair after a broken water pipe during the freeze. They completed the repair project ahead of the estimated finish date and all of the crew that came to our house were professional and did great work.

Friendly, professional, and flexible for our small deck tear out and replacement project. Communication was excellent. They showed up when they said they would. The workers maintained an orderly, safe project site, and cleaned up the site (even wiped down glass!) before leaving each day. We will definitely be calling on Cashmere for our next project.

Cashmere Construction was introduced to me by my son who had some dealings with Derek and his team. I had siding on my deck for several months that needed to be installed and painted so I could refinish my deck. My son was visiting me when he called Derek and explained my situation. This was Thursday afternoon and Tuesday morning Derek had his siding crew there and incredibly they were done by 2:00 p.m. Wednesday morning Juan arrived to do the painting and he was gone before noon. Very professional,cost saving and clean.You could literally eat off their work. This past February ( 2023 ) i decided to have my bathroom,kitchen and dining rooms gutted and remodeled. Unquestionably I called Derek and he was there that day and we discussed the options and our plan of attack. I went to Phoenix for 3 weeks and returned to my spectator new surroundings OMG !! First, I must warn you - Derek is a mind reader! We'd been searching and searching for someone who could install butcher block counter tops in our farmhouse style kitchen. The answer was always either 'No', or they didn't even bother to call back. I was getting frustrated. Then we called Derek at Cashmere Construction. As busy as he was, he came out just a couple of days later ..... and the answer was always 'yes'! Of course we were a bit skeptical that he could actually do everything he said yes to, but not only did he do it, he improved the original design by suggesting black granite around the corner sink area to protect the butcher block, AND he had the perfect sink for that corner in his truck! The whole project took less than 2 weeks from planning, ordering and slight delays, to completion. The installation of all of it took less than a day. We are so very satisfied and feel incredibly lucky to have found this very professional fellow and his business and know now that this company will be used exclusively from now on for any other work of this type that we'll need done. Thank you so much Cashmere Construction, and subcontractors from Smith Rock Interiors who did the granite work.

Everyone I dealt with through this firm was honest and competent. The project went off without a hitch and they were excellent communicators throughout. I would recommend them to anyone looking to have work done on their property.

Cashmere was very good at our bathroom and front room ceiling repair & remodel, Derick came out at the end of almost every day to check on the progress. He would let us know when his crew or the subs would be there so we could put our dogs away. He gave us a time frame for the project which was only off by a couple of days, given the size of the project we were very happy. The crews put down plastic wrap to protect our floors and a zip wall to contain the dust. We were impressed by his crew and our bathroom and ceiling in front room looks awesome. We would highly recommend Cashmere const. We would also thank them again for the cleanliness and timely repair.

Cashmere Construction was phenomenal in their communication, help with design and workmanship. We remodeled 2 full bathrooms, kitchen backsplash and our mud room/laundry room and we couldn’t be more happy. Even after I wanted to change the kitchen backsplash after installed as the tile we picked out I wasn’t loving! All the staff and subcontractors were professional, kind and respectful. We highly recommend them for any projects!

Full house remodel (over the holidays, Covid, work from home, old dog you name it). And nothing rattled these mainly men (I did enounter two female subs, right on!). The contract was clear and the timeline met. Clear communication 5-6 times per week. Willing to problem solve all along the way. Told me which sub would be there and at what time. All followed through with pleasant attutudes. You could tell there was a good working relatioship between the subs and Derek. I selected the materials I wanted without feeling overwhemled by the choices. Derek helped me understand the ROI which made me think how I wanted my money to work for me. The result is a house that truely reflects me. It's such a pleasure to walk in, look around and just exhale! Now that the work is done, Derek checks in to finish out some of the smaller things or just to say "hi!" I would give this company 10 stars if I could. Will definitely hire again.

We had several projects that needed to be done. Full remodel of our masterbath, roof replacement, new flooring throughout entire upper level updated granite and cabinets in 2nd bath & powder room. Cashmere did a bathroom remodel for me. It involved demo and removal of existing shower surround/bathtub, removing a wall and opening up the space, and updating the flooring, fixtures, new tub and tile, and sink and counter top. They removed the door and installed a really cool barn door...the space is updated and beautiful! I would like them to do my master bath next (remove a much dated jacuzzi tub and install a free standing tub, shaker style wainscoting and flooring. They are professional and timely and the communication is great. I would highly recommend them!

Cashmere Construction has been 5+ stars from the beginning meeting to the end. We purchased in April 2021 to do a complete remodel. Everything removed, from cupboards, to floors to sheet rock, to lighting, floors and all! They not only had a great design eye, they were prompt, clean, on time and finished in our short six week timeframe. They went steps further and helped hang up home decor items, do dump runs, etc. I could not be more happy with each of the employees, contractors, and owner, Derek. Well Done!

I can say that Cashmere Constitution is a great company to work with. Derek the owner is a master at details. Every time I need work done around my houses I call Derek, because I know it will be done on time and with quality results. I have had Cashmere painted 2 homes, re-roof, put stone pavers down, replace my staircase, replace all my interior doors including front door, put in french doors out back and install kitchen cabinets and put in granite countertops. Give Derek a call you will not be disappointed!

Cashmere Construction just finished renovating our kitchen cabinets, painting the frames, and installing new doors, hinges, and handles. They also installed new laminate flooring. Cashmere also did the doors and frames in our two bathrooms and laundry room. We wanted all of this work completed while we were in Utah on vacation and then came home to a completed project. Wow, Cashmere did all we asked on time and with great skill. Bernardete was blown away by the quality of their work, including how they left our home. Clean and ready to use. Facing a major damage to our house from a big fallen tree caused by a freezing rain during a cold night in February, 2021, my wife and I were looking for a substantial help to repair the damage. Then, we were so lucky that one of our neighbors suggested Cashmere Construction as one having a good reputation. We were very happy with Cashmere. The most outstanding things with this company in our impression were quickness, focus and skill. People came from this company, including subcontractors, worked in variously different areas including structures, roofing, chimney, skylight, gutters, ceilings, painting, and electrics. We felt many times that they demonstrated their focus, quickness and strong expert skills under a clear leadership of company leader. The result was better than we expected after all.

Derek and his company Cashmere Construction added new flooring to our small condo kitchen, entry, utility, & guest bath. It is a small job but very tight. I mention this as it required careful work in small spaces. Derek stayed most of day to insure all tricky work was completed correctly. The job was completed in a timely manner, within estimated cost, and very professional.

Cashmere Construction completed a partial kitchen remodeling in our home. This included a new farm sink, faucet, counter tops and back splashes. At every step in the process we were very impressed. Derek was quick to respond to questions. He had good suggestions of where we could check out kitchen fixtures and countertops. All of the employees who came into our home were careful, courteous and at the end of each work day, they left our home clean. We highly recommend Cashmere.

My friends were putting up their house for sale and had purchased a new one. They hired Cashmere Construction for projects on both houses. I was helping them move so I got to see the quality of the work and was very impressed. I hired Cashmere Construction to put LVP in three rooms. Also they changed out the tile on my fireplace and put up a glass tile backsplash in my kitchen. The work was excellent. Their employees showed up on time and were very nice to work with. The owner Derek inspected all the work done and made sure it was perfect.

Cashmere construction is the company you want to do your new built or remodel. We have use them twice now, once for a new built guess house in Salem, Or. and once for a full remodel vacation home at the Oregon coast. The new built was simple, basic and clean hobby house but Derek exceed our expectation so we used him once more. For the remodel he did a full remodel in about 6 months we were not always sure about his vision for this project but we trusted him, He upgraded things we didn't know we wanted or needed, making it a destination place for us. now we go there and just enjoy life, peace and quiet, it has become a retreat for us where we can unwind and release stress and worries. Our neighbors rave about his work and craftsmanship. We are also very happy with his employees and sub contractors, they are on time, clean and effective, they take pride in their job not just happy to get a paycheck. We will be using him again in the near future for a full remodel in our current house. Extremely professional, the owner/boss is very hands on. He personally inspects the days work to make sure everything meets his strict requirements. The Cashmere workers are very friendly and concerned about doing an excellent clean and professional job. When the work crew leaves at the end of the day they make sure that their construction area is perfectly clean. We could not believe just how clean they left everything. The quality of Cashmeres work is excellent. It would be very hard to find anyone that does better quality work. Derek, the owner/boss/supervisor is extremely easy and knowledgeable to work with. Cashmere construction remodeled our master bathroom, they gave a three week time line and it was completed in three weeks. The work crew was always on time. They even came back and installed all my new baseboards before the new carpet was installed in three bedrooms and never charged me. I highly recommend them.

We moved to McNary Estates into a small, 2000 SF retirement home built 30 years ago. Working with Derek was a joy. We took down a wall to open up the home. Then new flooring throughout, baths redone along with the kitchen and laundry room. Derek has a real talent in helping you with design decisions. The only thing remaining to do is to replace the driveway and we have elected to wait until Spring. I recommend Derek highly as the best we have ever worked with and we are so pleased with the results.

Derek Dunmyer president and owner of Cashmere Construction has worked very proficiently in updating and remodeling our 1983 home.He demonstrates excellent leadership and management skills working with and supervising multiple teams simultaneously. Outstanding performance and excellent customer service! We had our floors done by Cashmere. If you want to go to the Big Box stores and wait around for an employee to give you the time of day, go right ahead. I waited and waited at Lowes and finally someone from another department came to help, then I waited for him to find an employee from the flooring department. After that wait we scheduled a measure, they tell you this rock bottom cheap install price plus the flooring but what they wont tell you is how they nickel and dime you for every little thing that they do. Trust me it ends up being the same price as the Cashmere Construction Company. So tell me why would you trust a Box store's cheap install price and remember its a third party contractor they are hiring, you have no clue who will show up to do the work. I decided to call Cashmere, Derek the owner was at my home quickly, he's professional, knowledgeable and gave us a bid same day. We scheduled a time and I was blown away at how quickly and efficiently the work was done. He ordered the material, set up an install date, and had the floors finished faster than Lowes could get a guy out to our home to measure. The quality of work when his Company crew was finished is outstanding. If you want to know things will be done right the first time Call Cashmere Construction I highly recommend them.

Derek did a great job on my Mom's house. They replaced the roof, repiped the whole house and tiled the bathroom. Always showed up on time and was on shedule. His guys were always courteous and kept things clean. Derek was easy to get ahold of and always returned a message or missed call promptly. I will have Derek do more for in the future for sure.

Derek and his Cashmere Construction team work so well together! They work fast, cooperate with and respect each other, and got their job done very well! Derek and Cashmere Construction converted a detached garage into a useable space: including a new roof, new electric wiring, new concrete floor inside and the addition of a small patio outside. Prior to the job, Derek looked over my wish list for the garage conversion and worked with every item. If an item could not be done or was too cost-prohibitive, Derek suggested other ideas. He is very patient! When I had questions - oh, I had quite a few questions on top of one or two requested changes - he responded as quickly as he could. He willingly used text to communicate his answers to my questions/requests. I am very, very happy with the work Derek and his team did.

I have been involved in many construction projects both professionally and personally. The key to an excellent construction project is communication and Derek/Cashmere does this extremely well. Response to questions or concerns is always immediate and collaborative. Another area that they excel in is scheduling and always showing up the days/times they are scheduled. They do not lag on projects and work hard to get them done according to schedule. They are willing to work with customers that want to do some of the work themselves or those that want to keep hands-off. Either way, ideas are exchanged, pros and cons weighed, products reviewed, and a plan put in place. I have worked with Derek on three different projects now and not only would use him again but look forward to it. A real pleasure to work with and outstanding results.

Excellent customer service. Derek helped us execute our vision for a new, expended deck off of the house. The new deck feels like we have added more living space to our home. Cashmere Construction recently finished a complete home remodel on our home, and it turned out beautifully. Derek was able to advise and design the perfect kitchen and fully redo our master bathroom and closet, all while being flexible throughout the process. We had walls torn down, floor plans adjusted, and did I mention this was during a pandemic?! Derek arranged for samples to be dropped off for our selections and even completed the project 3 weeks early. Derek and his crew were great to work with and masters in their craft.

The best thing we have ever done for our home! Cashmere had done several superior remodeling projects for our next door neighbor, so we knew about their professionalism and creative design. We wanted to update our 1970s dark brown kitchen to be light and bright and look more contemporary to match the rest of our home. Because of the pandemic. Derek Dunmyer, Cashmere's CEO, devised a plan to wall off our kitchen with plastic and all of his staff wore masks and were vigilant about keeping a proper social distance. Derek had great suggestions on design and was very innovative in accomplishing the things we wanted to change. All the work was done exactly as he set it out in his work calendar for us. Each of his staff was very skilled in their area of expertise: tiling, painting, granite installation, carpentry, plumbing and electrical. Derek kept in daily touch and always monitored all work. Would highly recommended Cashmere, we are delighted with what they created for us.

The installation crew did a great job installing my front door. They arrived before our scheduled time, installed the necessary dust containment, and went right to work removing the old door. They installed the new door in a timely manner, cleaned up the work area, thanked me, and left for their next project. The painting crew arrived the following day to do touch ups. Once the installation schedule had been set, they were on time, and completed on time. The cost of the project was agreed on with no over runs. Again a very good job.

Complete remodel of main level of home. Bathrooms and kitchen far exceeded my expectations. Flooring baseboards and painting throughout house all excellent. Derek always very quick to respond to calls and texts. Always very willing to correct some minor details. I will use him again to do the upstairs!

In March 2019 we woke up to see a Ford Explorer sitting inside our living room. Obviously there was major structural damage to our 1910 craftsman home. A friend suggested that we contact Cashmere Construction based on some work that the company had done for them. We contacted Derek and asked him to develop a bid for the repair of our house. Over the 44 years we have lived in the house we had worked with several contractors on remodeling projects. Within a short time I could tell that Derek was exceptional. He walked us through the process and answered any questions that we had. He worked closely with our insurance company and ensured that they understood the costs associated with the particular details for replacing our redwood siding, and other items not found in many houses When the construction started Derek would contact us to let us know what would be happening the following week and then would again let us know on a day to day basis who and at what time workers would show up on the following day. On the few occasions that workers would not come when expected Derek would let us know the reason why and when they would be rescheduled. One thing that we appreciated was that when workers would come Derek would usually arrive at the same time to make sure that they understood exactly what was supposed to be accomplished that day. Derek was available to answer any of our questions and was anxious to get any feedback on out thoughts about the work that was being done. We appreciated some of the suggestions that Derek made that we never would have thought of ourselves Based on his attention to detail, continual interaction with us, and keeping within his original cost estimates we would highly recommend Cashmere Construction to anyone.

I am so glad to have discovered Cashmere Construction! I was connected with Derek who exceeded all my expectations! I am a licensed real estate broker and have worked with many different contractors, Cashemere Construction is absolutely unparalleled when it comes to professionalism & timelines. We had an office and family room built in a converted two car garage. The half bath and laundry room that was in the space was remodeled as well. They swept the front sidewalk to prevent tracking debris into my house. they also put canvas floor runners down from my front door all the way to the bathroom they were remodeling. At the end of each day they were rolled up and put outside my house. I was kept informed of any changes or delays to the repairs or the schedule. Only minor cost increase when hidden damage was found when the flooring was removed. This was my first remodel job so I was a little nervous. Derek and his team helped us realize our vision for a winery and tasting room that was formed in 1993 on a bicycle trip through France. We wanted old-world style, high-quality, timeless finishes coupled with modern conveniences, energy efficiency and safety. I self-contracted the building's shell in 2013-14. We began making wine in the production level (basement) in 2014, and I quickly realized there was NO way I could be a winemaker AND contractor - so when we were ready to complete the project, we hired Derek. I say this not to take credit away from Cashmere Construction's work, but rather to highlight how difficult it is to take over a partially completed project, initiated by an amateur, three years after the project started. In addition work had to be coordinated around the winemaking operations going on 24x7 in the building. We hired Cashmere Construction to do some remodeling and repair due to water damage. The work consisted of deconstruction of a tile floor and subfloor, replacing plumbing, framing, drywall, painting and some work on a door. We were very happy with this company. From the initial request they were prompt in getting back with us and continued to provide great communication and follow up. The work was excellent. Even on the tile floor where the grout had to be matched up with the replacement tile you could not even tell where the work was done. They kept the work area very clean and manageable with a barrier to partition off the work area. The price was competitive. If we were going to do a larger remodel or new construction we would definitely contact them again.

Derek and the rest of the Cashmere team converted our unused attic space to an amazing new two-room area. It was a large project that required raising the roofline and re-siding one exterior wall of the house, in addition to adding windows and all the work that transforming an attic to a livable space entails. Derek planned the project in a way that preserved the original aesthetic of our home, rather than creating an addition that looked tacked on. He also made a detailed schedule and only altered to move things ahead, allowing him to finish in six instead of eight weeks! Even better, throughout the project, Derek and his crew were friendly, courteous, and efficient. We can't recommend Cashmere Construction highly enough.

Derek does what he promises and much more. We hired Cashmere Construction to add on to our master bedroom, remodel our master bathroom, and walk in closet Derek gave us a schedule. He provided a completion date of December 15th but he promised to try and be done before Thanksgiving, meaning the week of November 23rd. He and his crew actually finished November 18th. Derek also gave us valuable information on our deck project and ordered the required supplies for us. Derek and the entire Cashmere Construction crew have been respectful and honest. Now that the project is complete, it feels like we are loosing a good friend, We are so pleased with our completed project that we are on Cashmere Construction's schedule for a spring project.

Derek provided excellent professional service. All work was completed on-time and as stated in his proposal. I could write many more than 20 words about our experience with Cashmere Construction! Our contractor, Derek, provided a detailed description of the master bath project, including: removal of outdated shower, installation of a beautiful, enlarged and tiled shower with glass door. Cashmere Construction also installed a new toilet and 2 state-of-the-art, above-counter sinks with "Mediterranean Bronze" faucets, toilet paper holder and hardware for the cabinets. Derek's team also tore out the old flooring, replacing it with a beautiful tiled floor. It looks awesome! He and his team performed with excellence. They were on time, explained what they were doing and always kept us apprised of what would happen the following day. They cleaned up after themselves, never leaving behind a mess! Cashmere Construction completely remodeled the master bathroom in our 1940 home. There had been a previous remodel in the 90's so there were many electrical and plumbing challenges. Derek Dunmeyer and his crew were thorough, polite, very approachable and showed respect for us and our home during the three week process. We appreciated the daily updates and clean ups as well as the professional reassurance when we had questions and concerns. The project was finished on time and slightly under the estimated cost. We are so pleased with our bathroom. Tile, cabinets, sinks and fixtures are beautiful, coordinated and functional. Cashmere Construction did a full remodel inside our house. The kitchen was entirely changed to granite counter tops, new cabinet fronts, new lighting and new wood flooring in the kitchen and throughout the house. The exception to the flooring was two of the bedrooms had new carpet put in. The entire house inside was painted to colors of our choice. Both bathroom floors have new tile. One of the big reliefs for us was that Derek and his team moved all furniture and boxes in each room and then put everything back. We always knew when they would arrive each morning and they were all very punctual. At the end of the work day everything was cleaned up and put back so we always had a clean room to live in. We always got a call or text each evening from Derek to make sure we knew what was happening the next day and what time they would arrive. Derek helped in many decisions, gave great advice and was respectful of our budget. His crew were efficient, worked hard all day and were very respectful as well. We know the base cost going into the project, and knew what the additional costs would be when we selected materials that were more expensive than those originally estimated. We knew the schedule, and when individual activities in the schedule would take place. The quality of the materials used and the quality of installation were outstanding. The owner, Derek Dunmyer, was on site every day. On almost all days, he was here during the entire work day, supervising and leading the work. He was always cheerful, friendly, and willing to answer any question about the work. His positive attitude was shared by his workers and subs, who were all professional, competent, respectful, and cheerful. Derek worked with us on decisions, and was flexible enough to allow us time to make those decisions. For example, we were not sure what the exact location of the new island should be. Derek brought the new island into the kitchen, but did not fasten it to the floor. We were able to move it around and try several positions. It was only when we had made the final decision that he attached it to the floor. At the same time, he made recommendations on several items, such as the island location and material for the backsplash that were extremely helpful. Obviously, a project of this size, in the center of activity of any home, is disruptive to those living there. Derek and his workers did their best to keep the disruption to a minimum. When they left at the end of the day, they cleaned up as much as possible. All trash was removed, and dust was cleaned up as much as possible. We are completely satisfied with the entire project. We would definitely hire Cashmere Construction again. As a matter of fact, we intend to hire the company again this fall, to replace the carpet in our living and dining room with hardwood flooring.

There were no surprises, he delivered everything as stated upfront. We bought a condo in McNary that hadn't seen an update since 1991! Wallpaper every where. The master bath was so ugly it made me think twice about buying the place. I am one of those people who knows what I like but have no idea how to get there. Derek was terrific in asking what I liked in general, asking me to send him pictures of things I liked, colors that appealed etc. He then came back with ideas and oh my gosh does this condo look wonderful. Not only is all the wallpaper gone, the colors he decided upon are beautiful througout the place and my new master bath is heaven. Everything is top notch. Derek's communication during this process was impeccable. Pick up the phone and text or call or send an email. No question went unaswered and reponse time was immediate. He and his team keep their work area very neat. One of my neighbors was walking by and was so impressed on how neatly he kept things that they knocked on the door and wanted to hire him for a job. I could go on and on but bottom line is this, you can't go wrong when you hire him to do something. I know I will again!

Derek kept us updated on the progress of our new roof, and I was very comfortable talking to him and making decisions with him. When I was nervous about choosing a gutter color, Derek asked the worker to bring samples to the house, so I could see the gutter colors next to our new roof color. The project was finished on time and on budget. He and his crew cleaned-up at the end of every day. They even took away a pile of leaves I had neglected. He and his crew have a "can-do" attitude that I found very refreshing.

I cannot recommend Cashmere Homes, Inc. highly enough. Derek arrived at our scheduled appointment time not only on time but a few minutes early. This is something I have NEVER experienced with any other general contractor. He was professional both in manner and appearance; he quickly grasped exactly what we were trying to accomplish and promptly provided us with a bid. He actually surprised me by taking over all aspects of the project. I was struggling trying to coordinate the carpet layers, the equipment movers, plumbers, etc. I had no idea that he would take all tasks off my plate and that made the (rest of the) project effortless on my part. We contracted Derek for a remodel of our orthodontic office which required the work to be performed on a very strict timeline, which was really my number one concern. If they didn't finish on time it would mean rescheduling literally HUNDREDS of patients. I'm happy to say that the job was completed ahead of schedule and we couldn't be happier with the results. Cashmere construction completely remodeled my kitchen. I had already picked out my kitchen design and cabinets with Robinson's but needed a contractor to remove a pantry room, fluorescent soffits, install new dry wall, lighting, electrical, paint, fix a floor problem, install new flooring, appliances and granite. They also refinished my dining room wood floor. Cashmere construction came highly recommended by the drywall company 5-star. I couldn't be happier with my kitchen, dining room and the service provided by Derek and his crew. Although we were entering the period where subs were busy with home show models, Derek had the subs in and completing their part of the project with practically no down time. We were days ahead of schedule by the second week. His work was expertly done and it was clear to me that they weren't done until I said I was pleased with the job. Derek also was excellent at the little things like making sure that everything was cleaned up every day, did extras for me like removing an old hot tub and fixing a light that hadn't worked for years. I highly recommend him if you want quality work done efficiently without any worry on your part.

Cashmere construction came highly recommended to us and I would highly recommend them. The project they did was a roof installation of our 1000 square foot car port. The wind blew off the roofing and Derrick worked with our insurance to get the pricing and scope negotiated. He did an exceptional job on the roof. We can now have a dance party on our roof.

I am very pleased with the job that Cashmere Construction did for me. The tiling around the tub was beautiful. They also installed floor base and a bath storage cabinet that I purchased at Home depot for no extra cost. First, I need to express that the communication between Derek and I, the customer, was excellent and made all the difference in a job well done. He and his team had a customer first attitude from the beginning. In addition, their expertise and knowledge made me comfortable and I will definitively have them do more projects for me coming up in the near future. Also, on a side note, they are not afraid of big scary dogs. My dog does not always like everybody, but he definitely liked them!

We invited Cashmere Construction to return for another project. Our fireplace was overdue for a makeover. Once again they did a great job! With Derek's experience and eye for what will look great for our home, it was easy to make the cosmetic choices with this project (the hearth, the stone for the wall, and the mantel). Project cost worked for our budget, and the job was finished a day ahead of time. Derek uses great subcontractors and has a great work crew. I had them completely remodel our master bathroom. Our old bathroom was a disaster to say the least it seemed small dark and uninviting. We had some idea of what we wanted the bathroom to be like and Derek the owner of Cashmere Construction not only made it into a much larger feeling bathroom but into an oasis for us. Now the shower is 4foot by 5 foot, glass front and door, tile walls, custom made shower floor, a new 2 person vanity, new lights above the sink, and 2 new cabinets. The crew working at our home were outstanding workers and were very helpful and friendly. I plan on remodeling our kitchen in the future and I promise you Cashmere Construction will be doing the work.

After a pipe blockage in my kitchen, we had our entire kitchen torn apart to get out the water damaged flooring and subfloor. Cashmere homes came in and put our kitchen back together. As a family with four children, the kitchen is very important. Not only did they do a fantastic job, they made sure to do quality work and they were extremely time efficient. After the job was complete I noticed one tiny detail that was overlooked and someone came by within an hour and had it all fixed perfectly for us. Great service. I highly recommend this company.

I had the pleasure of working with Cashmere Construction to remodel the bathroom of a home built in 1949 and I currently own as a rental. My budget was very tight, my timeline even tighter, and I wanted a basic look that wouldn't date the rest of the house and would be durable to stand-up to the abuse of future renters. Because of my tight budget and super short timeline, I negotiated to do the demolition (down to bare walls and, in some places, the studs) and painting myself. Cashmere installed and plumbed a new tub/shower surround, built a partial wall between the tub/shower and toilet, moved the toilet and plumbing, textured the walls and ceiling, and installed a custom vanity, linen cabinet, quartz counter, sink, flooring, and base molding. The bathroom (bathroom #8 in photos) looks so much better than I could have imagined. I feel Derek went above and beyond in all aspects of the project. He communicated every step of the way, was always on-time, worked within my parameters, and completed the project when he said he would. He even followed up with me to make sure I was able to finish the painting before the current renters returned from vacation. The sub-contractors he brought in were professional and courteous as well. I wish I had the financial means to hire Cashmere Construction to remodel the house I'm living in. For now, I'm saving my pennies for the next project and recommending Derek to everyone I know with a construction need. Derek and Cashmere Construction deserve 10 stars on this project!

The project was to replace the old concrete driveway, the sidewalk , and to build a new concrete RV pad and a new driveway with a pad for a boat and a concrete ramp for wheel chair entry to the house. Derek, the owner was a pleasure to work with for he was friendly , positive and professional. No detail was left out. His bid included without asking , sealing of the concrete and repairing any damage to the underground watering system. He even brought in and distributed 3 yards of bark dust and cleaned up any mess plus hauled off some of my trash. Part way into the project , I had a change of plans and he went to bat for me to get the permit from the city and county for the new change. I have received numerous compliments from friends and neighbors. I could not be more pleased .

We were so impressed at the initial meetings, that we choose not to get any other estimates. Derek identified our style and drilled down the daunting process of making choices of cabinets, counters, fixtures etc. The selections that he provided us with made it so easy decide. Derek is a great communicator on all levels, we were always in the loop of what was next with the project. He and all the subs that he uses are respectful and punctual. At the end of each day, the job site was cleaned up and none of the equipment was left behind. If there was any type of a challenge that arose, Derek already had the solution for it. The projects Derek performed for us was new front door and entrance, new flooring (entry, hall, guest room, guest bath and master bath), new guest bathroom, new master bedroom, and new kitchen (all included granite counter tops, custom cabinets, sinks, faucets, cabinets pulls, bathroom mirrors, light fixtures, flooring, appliances). We have other projects in the future that we want to do and Derek will be our guy! This was a wonderful experience!

I have a rental property, a duplex that was in need of various different major repairs/upkeep. Cashmere was able to come in and assess the needs and offer a plan for prioritizing the needs so we could take care of the urgent needs and spread the other repairs over some time. They were very professional and showed up on time for every meeting through the bidding process, finalizing the contract and the actual work. They were considerate of my time and made working them a delight. The work that they did this year included, roof demossing and repair, rebuilding of three covered porches, replacement of two front doors with side windows, added flashing and repaired rain gutters, prep and painted the entire building, and repair cracked concrete chimney. I was completely satisfied with the work. the were on budget (no surprises) and finished the job ahead of schedule!

The professional's knowledge and experience were exemplary. Great communication skills. We always new what was happening. He was able to adjust scheduling when additional work was requested. The project was completed in time without sacrificing quality , and was within budget. The scheduling of subs was excellent, without any lost time.

I had two projects that I needed done. I received multiple bids from other contractors and I had Cashmere do both. I had a retaining wall/trailer/RV pad put in on the side of my house as well as a new 66 foot long cedar deck with stairs and a recessed hot tub put on the back of my home. Derek Dunmyer is a great contractor to work with. He has a positive attitude and focuses on finding workable solutions if any challenges arise. He is extremely flexible and from the beginning of our project, was able to help us bridge the gap between our visions for our remodel and the practical possibilities in a very creative way. The people he hires are extremely professional and efficient. One example is the way he approached the creation of a new bathroom for us. I provided him with my drawing of the layout and desired features. He then had me choose the colors and finishes, which he incorporated into a lovely and very usable bathroom that included all the features we had requested, as well as a custom countertop that he fashioned from a piece of granite that he happened to have on hand. This was a nice surprise, and it ties together all the elements in a beautful and quite practical way. My highest praise for Derek and his crews is reserved for his adherence to time frame and budget. Any changes to the budget were extras that we requested. He completed the project on the exact day he had estimated it would be finished. We were able to move back in to the remodeled areas exactly when he said we would. The only critique I have is that I would have preferred more frequent communication, especially at the beginning of the project. I understand that a lot goes into the coordination of subcontractor availability, delivery of materials, the weather cooperating, etc., but at times I was not as well-informed as I would have liked about the arrival of workers and the nature of the projects being carried out. Derek is fair, trustworthy, and very easy to get along with. I recommend him highly.

In 2012 we hired Cashmere Construction to replace our roof and remodel two bathrooms. From the beginning we were impressed by Derek's enthusiasm and his sense of design. I picked Cashmere Homes to build my new home based on a recommendation from another of Mr. Dunmyer's clients. This turned out to be the best decision I ever made. I had two acres zoned agricultural in my families name. Mr. Dunmyer represented me in Marion County to get the property in my name and rezoned residential/agricultural. He was able to get my family out of a travel trailer in 53 days into a well constructed southern plantation style dream home. Mr. Dunmyer had all of his subcontractors on schedule along with supplies. He put together a well organized portfolio to ensure adequate communication with the bank, contractors and ourselves. He designed our home, taking into account all of our wants and desires and gave us everything we wanted, on schedule and with a positive attitude. Cashmere homes did two jobs for me. They repaired water damage in two areas of my home. This involved R&R subfloor in one room, and R&R travertine flooring in the other. The second job was a total re-roof, tearing off all old comp shingles and sheathing, and replacing with all new materials. Both projects were done as defined by contract. Both came in at the price negotiated and on time. Communication was excellent. Cashmere did great work. I would recommend them to others, and will ask them to do future work for me as projects come up.
