As a custom home builder I have had the pleasure of working with Chris Caponigro on 4 custom homes that he designed. The plans are very well drawn, has a great eye for detail and works very well with his clients. Chris does a great job in conveying his clients wants and needs to paper in a concise and accurate way. We hired Christopher Caponigro as our Architect on our new build home on Daniel Island, Charleston, SC, in the summer of 2013. We were able to discuss interior design concepts and present some examples of outside features we liked and then Chris took over and presented drawings which were spot on what we were looking for. After meeting to discuss the plan and make some slight revisions, the design draft was ready for submission to the ARB (Architectural Review Board) for Daniel Island. Chris handled this seamlessly from our perspective and approval was granted. Chris worked closely with our builder throughout the 12 month build period which resulted in an on time build. Chris listened to what was important to us and then improved our concepts with suggestions that improved our overall finished home. (3300 sq ft of heated/AC area, and 1500 sq ft of porches/garage). Chris is easy to work with, understands budgets and time issues and is very knowledgeable and creative. We would not hesitate to recommend Chris as your architect on any new build home or remodeling project.
