This is the second time I have used DCI Home Improvements for my renovations. My first remodel was the kitchen. My second remodel was my primary bathroom. I'm beyond pleased with the final results!!! I would never consider using any other company to do construction on my home! Jeff and his team are professional, accommodating & a true pleasure to work with!

As you know it can be a daunting task picking the right contractor for a remodeling project. We looked into four different companies over a two-year period, and we finally chose DCI for our project thru a recommendation of some friends in our community. After speaking with Jeff Akins I felt very comfortable that they would do a great job and they did. DCI's installer Larry was top notch and very easy to work with considering all the changes we made to our master bathroom his knowledge was excellent and helped me make the correct choices throughout the project. If you hire this company, you will be totally happy. We will be enjoying our new master bath for years to come.

It was our good fortune to find DCI Home Improvements after much research to find a trusted company to upgrade our kitchen. The final and seventh company was the charm! We were very comfortable with Jeff and his Team from our very first introductory call (after viewing their website) to meeting with him to discuss our plans, to Larry who meticulously completed the project beyond our expectations. I discovered DCI Home Improvements through a Houzz search looking for contractors who could do a complete kitchen remodel for my condo in Clearwater Beach. I now know why they have a solid 5 star rating! My phone message was promptly returned & I had a scheduled date early the following week to review my kitchen remodel needs. I had the pleasure of meeting Jeff who listened to my needs & could see my overall vision for the remodel. He did a great job setting expectations & explaining the cost of the job. Jeff always returned my phone calls & emails within 24 hours making it very easy to communicate and stay informed. Once construction started I had the pleasure of working with Larry who was very knowledgeable, professional, polite, always on time & left the work site very clean! It was wonderful having the same person assigned to my remodel from beginning to end which helped eliminate confusion. There were days when Larry would stay late until he was satisfied with the progress of the job. He was very accommodating in trying to make my inconvenience of not having an operable kitchen tolerable. DCI handled all outside services such as electricians & plumbers so I did not have to outsource other service providers. The cherry on top was we did not have any unexpected surprise costs AND they finished on time! I am beyond thrilled with my final results & I would highly recommend DCI for all your home improvement needs! I look forward to working with them in the future for my master bath remodel!

Working with DCI Jeff, Pete and the whole team was a wonderful experience. First time I have hired someone to remodel anything for me and was nervous going in but everyone was great answered all my many many questions, gave me wonderful ideas and advice. Love my new kitchen and the wood plank style tiles installed in 2 rooms including entry and hallway. Still have more projects to do and looking forward to working with them again.

DCI was great to work with from start to finish. They are professional, courteous and honest. They did a small project for us but still treated it like a big project and never made us feel otherwise. They were patient with all my questions and any issue that came up, they did everything to make us happy. They built a master closet in our 1980 house by tearing down/putting up some walls and creating a sleek new design that flowed with the rest of the house without compromising our existing space. They did other small jobs (lighting, bathroom venting). I wouldn't hesitate to use DCI again for future projects.

I have used DCI Home Improvements twice in the last two years and I am very satisfied with the work they have done. Jeff and his project managers have been very responsive from start to end. From providing us with an easy to read estimate to step by step project progress communication. The workers are professional and attentive to questions and suggestions. DCI is an excellent choice for any home construction project. Jeff and Pete did a complete remodel of our bathroom. They helped us with the design, worked through mechanical issues and completed the project when they said they would. Even though I threw a couple small repairs in, they still finished on time. You’re working with a couple guys not a company. I couldn’t recommend them more. They’re coming back to do another bathroom and install an exterior door for us.

This is my second project with DCI ! The first was my master bath pictured on their site. From my first meeting with Jeff and thru out the project I was made to feel at ease and in charge of my dreams, Larry went above and beyond to deliver me my dream kitchen!!! DCI was absolutely a dream to work with on our kitchen remodel. From the initial consultation with Jeff where he was so courteous and respectful, to seeing Larry and his amazing work on a daily basis, we could not be happier we chose them for this project. They turned our vision into a reality and gave us our dream kitchen (plus, the job was completed on time AND for the price quoted!) They do incredible work, are all-around great people, and we look forward to hiring them again for any future projects.

DCI has completed 2 different projects for us, and we have been so happy with them both. We converted a porch to laundry/office and a large closet to a master bath, and not only has the work been great quality and looks beautiful, the crew is friendly, good at what they do, accommodating, and professional. DCI recently helped us with our kitchen re-design project. Thanks to their professionalism and great communication, the project went very smoothly! Jeff was great with communication and coordination of the project; very clear with cost expectations and planning. Larry and Alex were wonderful to work with, explaining along the way and answering any questions we had. After every day of the project, they left a clean workspace. Pete even came out on an unplanned day to help us install the dishwasher which had originally been delivered with a defect. Everyone on the DCI team is honest, trustworthy and kind. They do excellent, high quality work and provide outstanding service. DCI is a dependable, professional company and I look forward to working with them for all of my home renovations!

Full house remodel including kitchen, 2 bathrooms, sunroom and laundry. Jeff and Pete did and outstanding job. Jeff was very clear on cost and sections completed. Pete worked with his crew to complete everything which usually exceeded my expectations. I have never had such a large project go so smoothly. I would definitely used them again on my next project.

Absolutely the best remodeling experience we've ever had and it was all due to the professionalism, collaboration and dedication of the DCI Home Improvements team. We remodeled our master bath on the second floor so we have been living downstairs and sharing a bathroom with our kids. During the remodel, we were also working from home while the kids were home for the summer. DCI Home Improvements made it bearable for us. They were always cognizant on the noise that they made while we were on business calls and cleaned up after themselves daily knowing that we were living in the house. Jeff, who itemized everything that we need before the project started. Larry & Alex, whose meticulousness and work ethic are second to none. - These guys worked on the 4th of July so the project moves along. And Pete, who made sure everything is just what we envisioned. We were right on budget & no surprises whatsoever! I couldn't recommend any other contractor than DCI Home Improvements. We are planning on taking professional photos of the master bath but I could hardly wait in sharing what beautiful work they have done so here are a few that I want to share along with this review.

DCI is totally dedicated to first class quality in every facet of a project from beginning to end. We had our kitchen renovated by DCI and could not be any happier. From the first day when Jeff came for the estimate, we knew we were dealing with a top tier professional organization . He gave us all the information we needed regarding the project including choice of cabinets, counter tops, lighting, backsplash, floor tiles, etc. . We had to wait to start the project because our first priority was replacement of our leaking roof.We got the project going this past April and just completed it at the beginning of June. Jeff, Pete, and their crew are the best at their craft, period. They took care of every detail to perfection and were always there to answer any questions or concerns from demo time to the final walk through. We hired DCI to remodel our master bath. Everyone on their team were so professional and knowledgeable. I loved that they showed up when they said they were going to and always prompt to return phone calls whenever I had a question. Larry was here 8 am everyday. He asked for my input and gave me his ideas as well. We are so happy with the bathroom. Every detail is perfect. We already plan on hiring them again for our next big project.

DCI Home Improvements came to my house and converted my screened back porch into an office, added a patio, replaced all my old windows and doors with hurricane windows and doors, and added a backsplash in the kitchen. I investigated them at the Better Business Bureau site and found an A+ rating with numerous favorable comments. After receiving an affordable estimate from them they were able to commence work pleasing to my timeline. According to one of the county inspectors DCI went above and beyond what would have needed to be done to comply with the county code for passing inspection. They did an excellent job of staying on schedule and always informing me of which subcontractors would be at my home and when and what they would complete. They always had a great attitude and were able to finish the job so I was completely satisfied with the end product. Not only did they constantly inform me of where we were in the process, but they were always willing to stop mid-production to explain any details and answer questions. Basically I wish I had heard about DCI Home Improvements years ago, and I would never hesitate to call them back to my house or to recommend them to anyone needing work done on their home.

Pete and Jeff at DCI recently completed a remodel at our home. The scope of the project included demolition and removal of a fireplace and kitchen walls, kitchen cabinets, granite counter tops, backsplash, a tub to shower conversion, new vinyl plank throughout the house, bathroom vanity tops. The job included demo, carpentry, electrical, plumbing. Most of our communication with Pete and Jeff was by phone, text, or email, as we were in Pennsylvania during construction. They were quick to ask or answer any question that arose. They went beyond the scope of work by taking care of some "extras" that we had asked about. We are extremely pleased with our "new home" and not only would we recommend them, we plan on having them back in 2017 for another job that will include windows, doors, and some lighting! We are pleased to provide a reference for DCI Home Improvements. They did a large bathroom remodel for us in August 2016 and we could not be happier with the way they conducted their business and the craftsmanship they displayed in every aspect of the job. The job required demolition, carpentry, dry wall, plumbing, electrical and tile work. Their initial meeting with us was very professional. They provided a detailed labor and materials quote, references from satisfied customers; they advised us on the best sources for tile and hardware that we needed to purchase and were very clear about start and end dates. They provided us with a fair price which beat several other bidders and the final project cost was less than we imagined it might be. Their bid was not the lowest but DCI worked with us to include the cosmetic face lift of our second (guest) bathroom which made theirs a respectable“value for money” proposition. We finally chose them based on a gut feeling that they cared more about our project than did the competing BBB-referred construction firm. Before the work began they hung plastic sheets to contain the dust and cleaned up the work site daily. They began the work on time and continued steadily, every day, to complete the project. They briefed us daily on the plans for each day’s work and they delivered as promised. They answered all our questions and freely provided sound advice and recommendations when decisions were required of us. Although the project went slightly over on time estimate, they stayed with our project through completion rather than compromising quality work by rushing or moving back and forth to other scheduled projects. Pete, his son Jeff, and Larry, who carried out the bulk of the work, were real pros about everything. The end result is a stunning Roman style bathroom, as well as a far more pleasing second bath. We have received many compliments on their work from friends (as well as other professionals) who have seen the work they did. We would recommend DCI Home Improvements to anyone, without reservation, for any home improvement project they might have. My Mom experienced an incapacitating fall this past summer that left my mother homebound. I wanted an access ramp put in so that she could leave and enter by wheel chair. I contacted DCI Home Improvements, and Jeff arrived the next day to discuss the details of the project and provide an estimate. While the project was small and unremarkable, Jeff and his Dad exceeded all of my expectations, and I have very high expectations! I was immediately impressed by Jeff's appearance and professional manner. He was attentive, respectful, and engaging. He was very easy to talk to. He listened carefully to my plans and ideas and offered astute suggestions that made the project I proposed even better and less expensive. As promised he called the next day with an estimate that I felt was extremely fair. He was available to start the project within a week and arrived on time on the specified day and completed the job in the day and a half that he said it would take. Jeff and his Dad did not waste any time! Jeff built a extremely sturdy and stable ramp. He made certain that the planking was smooth and secure and without trip obstacles that could be devastating for my Mom. He paid exceptional detail to the project and worked around and within exterior obstacles unique to this project (ex. outdoor water faucet, screened in florida room, screen door, car port, etc.) to create an esthetically pleasing yet extremely functional ramp that did not interfere with or impede other structures. Jeff even added additional indoor hand rails to the ramp railings so that if my Mom was able to walk again she had smooth and secure railings to hold on to assist in leaving and entering her home. Upon completion of the project, Jeff and his Dad immaculately clean up the work site and left nothing behind. And, when my brother asked if Jeff could return to put in grab bars in my mother's shower, he did not blink an eye and did so without additional charge! My wife and I have worked as educators in a city school system in the north for the past 30+ years and have dealt with many contractors over the years (new addition to our home, new kitchen, new windows, and new roof), and we are soon to start building our retirement home in Maine. So, we have plenty of experience dealing with contractors. Jeff and his Dad are extremely competent and consummate workers! They take their work seriously and truly care about the needs of their clients. If my Mom ever needs any additional work done around her home, I would not hesitate to call DCI Home Improvement in a heart beat! Jeff, my Mom is doing much better and is now walking on her own again without assistance. She has regained her independence and comes and goes as she pleases. I was not sure if that would ever happen again. The ramp you and your Dad constructed has helped her immeasurably, and I am forever grateful for what you and your Dad have done for her! Pete converted my liana into a dinning room and kitchen area. Pete shows up for work when promised. He has excellent skills. He cleans up after himself. He completes the job with in the time frame quoted. He keeps to the quoted price for the job.

Back in January of 2015, I interviewed a few firms to do a complete tearout/rebuild of my mother's kitchen in her mobile home. A few never called back, a few wouldn't work on mobile homes, but when I spoke with Pete he was very open to coming out to discuss what needed to be done. We had two design meetings discussing what my mother wanted and then we requested a few changes made to the initial design, which he gladly accommodated. Pete came out to the mobile a few times and provided us his design(s) at no charge, which was nice to see. Once the design was agreed upon, he started shortly afterwards and once the project started, he was EXTREMELY flexible to work with and talked us thru a few changes that were requested as the project progressed. He was promptly onsite daily and did let us know if he had to leave to assist other jobs he had ongoing, which was not a problem. His work, craftsmanship, and skills are exceptional, and he did the entire project himself. New custom cabinets, new tile floor in kitchen and dining room, drywalled the ceiling with can lights installed. He had to take down a wall, which opened the kitchen up to the living room area, and installed a large L-shaped breakfast bar in it's place. All granite countertops, all new appliances installed (we purchased), new sink/faucet, etc. Also, my mother has had Pete come back after the kitchen was finished, to do a few other jobs as well; he built her a new bar in her front room and also put in a new front door for her too. Point being he will take on smaller jobs, and do them just as well as the large jobs. Pete was a pleasure to work with; personable, always with a smile, always took time to explain what he was doing at the time if we had questions. Just a shame he never took a lunch break! :) I would/will ALWAYS recommend Pete and DCI Home Improvements to anyone. Actually, my wife and I are in the process of purchasing a home in Largo, and when we have any remodeling needs, Pete will absolutely be the only contractor we call. You WILL NOT be disappointed by hiring DCI Home Improvements.

If you're looking for a remodeling contractor, look no further. DCI Home Improvements is the team you should call. Fortunately, I did (I contacted at least 5 others). They arrived when they said they would (the others who responded did not). They listened to my needs and provided a competitive and fair estimate. They began the job promptly working around our schedule. They arrived every day as they said they would. In fact, everything they said they would do they did. They keep their word and their workmanship is outstanding. I was looking to have my master bathroom remodeled to rival a luxury hotel spa. They met the challenge and we could not be more pleased. I will hire them for other jobs. You should hire them for your project, too.

DCI is a father and son business that is run very professionally, but they treat you like family. The estimate they gave us was very fair, and they got in very quickly to do the work. When one of the subs did work that was slightly less than perfect, Pete stepped in and made sure that it was corrected and made perfect. They took care every last detail and were a pleasure to work with. They really took care of us. I would hire them for a project of any size, anytime.

DCI was a great Company to work with. Peter was very professional initially with giving me an estimate on my Kitchen remodel. While he was working in my home he was very neat and cleaned up every day after he was done. He was here on time and completed the job in a timely manner. My kitchen is beautiful and we are very happy with his workmanship. I recommend using this contractor 100%.
