Banks completed a complicated addition to our home, including an elevator, vestibule, and utility room. Their work is fast, efficient and superbly done, and they are a total pleasure to deal with. That addition now is the best-looking part of our entire house, and we try to bring guests through that entrance whenever possible. I would recommend Stuart and his company for any project, anytime and anywhere. They are simply the best.

Stuart Banks was flawless in our home reno. It was a big job. Stripped our 1940s home down to the studs, all new electrical, mechanical and plumbing. Added a second floor and built a very detailed contemporary cottage with a wonderful architect who paid very close attention to details. Stuart was completely transparent, honest and fair every step along the way. His price was the most competitive of 6 bids and he then worked with us on value engineering to bring his bid down even further. He delivered the final home for the contract price and finished right on schedule (8 month reno). On time and on budget!!! Stuart was totally professional and kept his word on everything. I would not even consider another contractor were we to do it over again. Good honest builders are hard to find but Stuart Banks is exactly that.

Banks Home Building completed the renovation of our home in Vestavia Hills in November 2016 and were were thrilled with their work. It was a large renovation where most of the house was demoed and an additional floor was added to the first level. Stuart was honest, trustworthy and responsive. He along with our architect, John Holmes, helped to guide us through a process we were very unfamiliar with. The subs he hired were hardworking, professional and courteous as well. We plan on hiring Stuart and his crew again for future projects.

Banks Homebuilding recently finished our home in McCalla, AL and we could not be more pleased with the outcome. We live 300 miles from the building site and were not able to get there as often as we would have liked, but Stuart kept us updated with texts and pictures of the progress. He was accommodating with changes I made while always keeping the budget in mind. His workers were dependable, excellent craftsmen, working under challenging conditions (no electricity). We felt that his pricing was competitive and fair, and the end result was worth every penny that we spent. I would highly recommend Stuart’s company to anyone considering quality construction in the Birmingham area.

Banks Home Building built our family home. The project began in the Spring of 2012 and was completed in February 2013. The project was on time and on budget. We are very please with the work quality and enjoyed working with Banks throughout the project. I would work with Banks again without any hesitation.

We used Stuart Banks Home Building 10 years ago to build our house and it was a very good experience. So when we had a recent water leak from a hot water tank, I called Stuart for help again. We had to have ceilings, walls, and some interior columns sheet rocked and painted. The major job was that the wood floors on our whole first level had to be redone. Also, we had two sets of patio doors replaced at the same time even though they were not damaged by the water leak. They needed replacing due to weather and aging. Stuart and his workers did an excellent job. Each step was planned and went as scheduled. The workers were all there in a timely manner and were very professional at every step. I have always found that Stuart Banks is an honest, professional contractor and is easy to work with. I would definitely recommend Stuart Banks Home Building.

Commented: What is the brick painted and the color and make of the windows?Do not remember the paint color. The windows are Hurd Aluminum Clad Bronze colored windows. Hurd is now part of Sierra Pacific.
