Do yourself a huge favor, and choose MJB now! I’m a single senior lady, who woke up one morning and decided to build my dream house. I choose them because of their fabulous reputation with past clients. All I can say is that I was truly blessed to find MJB and work with them. I have a 2bd 2bath, 2500sq ft home, overlooking Folsom lake. I designed the house myself after 30years of going through model homes, and I couldn’t have imagined how amazing it would turn out!! Mike, the owner is very professional, meticulous, and just an all around “good, honest” guy. He sure had some headaches to work through due to unforeseen pitfalls. And by the way, he was incredible with staying on budget. He is the brother, I never had. I really think that the house is great but the fun and laughs, were the best! Doughnuts, on Friday. Now he texts me when he and his wife are on their wave runners, jetting by my house. Eric and Ryan are the best to work with also. Thanks for an amazing experience guys

We loved these guys! We were under the gun with a 203k loan (and had a baby 4 days before having to move...) and they were patient and helpful in designing and building our new kitchen, among other things. Almost every person who walks into our house comments on how nice the kitchen and great room are and we are happy to host parties centered around the beautiful baseball diamond shaped island, with granite counter tops, that they conceived and created! They were very nice, professional and we could tell that they cared about us. We are more than happy to recommend them to family and friends and have done so.

Mike and the guys at MJB are total professionals. They are very caring about the final outcome of a project. They are diligent in making sure all bases are covered so there are no surprises for the clients. A very kind and caring bunch of guys.

Hired MJB for kitchen remodel. We love our beautiful new kitchen. MJB does high quality work and is always professional but still very friendly and down to earth.

The attention to detail, the finished product, and the craftsmanship of MJB are of the utmost standard. For the folks at MJB, quality of the finished project is a habit. A project is not over until MJB is satisfied with the result. I take extreme pleasure in recommending MJB Construction, in particular the owner Mike Bouchard and chief troubleshooter Eric Feliz. I have known Mike (and Eric) for at least 20 years. I have had several remodels done by MJB. Working with Mike and Eric, who are the sweetest, nicest, most professional people, is a pleasure. I have always been extremely happy with the finished result. We did a major remodel of our kitchen and living area in the early 2000’s. Mike and crew spent a great deal of time devising the plan. Once started, the project moved rapidly. The result was even better than I imagined (see pictures, I hope). Every remodel requires thorough planning, developing new ideas during production, dealing with change orders and (for me) extensive hand holding when meltdown of the client occurs. Mike and Eric are personas extraordinaire at these skills. On a final note, I must tell the following tale. One dark and stormy afternoon, I returned home from work only to find my street cordoned off by sheriffs. They informed me a house was on fire down the street. As it turned out the burning house was mine. After the fire was extinguished I was allowed to return home to a house with gaping holes in the bedroom and bathroom walls. I called my insurance carrier, who told me firms existed that would come out and cover the burn area with plywood. I called Mike Bouchard. Mike came over immediately. (Due to the intensity of the storm, Mike was already in the process of checking with his clients to see if everyone was okay). Mike and worker covered the holes, did a lot client meltdown hand holding and determined it was alright to leave me in a burned house during a horrible storm, in order to care for my dogs, cats and horses. Mike was over the next day starting the process of repair of fire damage. Mike consulted with my insurance adjuster helping me gain a very fair settlement. Bedroom remodel commenced with another beautiful result! In short Mike Bouchard and MJB Construction crew are primarily friends, ethical and people of the highest quality. We hired Mike and the MJB team for our new home construction in Rescue, CA. MJB has an excellent team of specialists all collaborating with us on new ideas and suggestions to enhance our home. Great house building experience with MJB Construction. They completed our dream home early and the results were fantastic. The entire MJB team was polite, professional, easy to work with and they contracted with only the best sub-contractors. I would recommend MJB to family and friends!

love love LOVE these guys. i rec'd recommendation from a neighbor (and we are still friends!!). i have had 4 separate remodeling projects w/MJB. 1st, a complete kitchen remodel, 2nd, raising of ceilings and game room crown moldings, 3rd, a BEAUTIFUL addition to master bath, and finally a total guest apt remodel w/new kitchen. why i like them?? great communication, creativity in finding solutions to remodel "burps", generally the same subs who have worked together for years (allowing for great coordination), and NEVER missed a date as to when they would be there (such consideration..even had subs who showed up early but would not knock on my door until the time designated). Caution: not the cheapest, but lack of headaches for me made it worth it. Note... "project date" section of this review does not accurately reflect timing as there were 4 separate projects which occurred between 2010 and 2017.

Mike is the best! He's professional, on time, on schedule and on budget! Everyone he hires is top notice. We did a major remodel/addition and Mike and his team were beyond wonderful! If we had to do it all over again we would hire MJB in a second.
