You can read a thousand other architects' websites the same carefully worded mantra about how their firm is better than everyone else. We may work in the same profession, but we are not them. We prefer blue jeans and flip flops over starched shirts and wing tips. Ball caps and t-shirts are welcomed. We are young-ish (or at least at heart), fresh and optimistic. If you are looking for the stodgy old man (or woman) Architect in town, we will begrudgingly give you their number. We are mobile and all work from home because we love our families, value our health and the low overhead keeps us lean, nimble, and competitive. This means that you pay for our time and talent and not a bunch of fancy office stuff. Our biggest pet peeve: "I have been doing it this way for 30 years". Well, ever consider you have been doing it wrong for 30 years? We are constantly learning and adapting. The world is moving too fast for anyone to settle with the same old formula. We are Architects (licensed professionals)...not designers. Designers are amateurs, and if you think an architect is more expensive to hire, wait until your amateur designer costs you thousands during construction because of poorly executed drawings or an ill-conceived design. We design. Builders build. If you have been duped into believing that your builder can provide you with a custom design, well good luck....you are going to need it.
