What do we have here ... Heaven on Earth? This lodge is filled with custom pieces, including the log rafters to accent the ceiling. The rest of the ceiling is done with our 6" tongue and groove natural knotty pine paneling. The richness of the walls was created with our 3" x 10" log siding with a bronze stain. Our 4" x 6" D trim accents the windows and frames the view.

This fantastic hallway features peeled knotty pine half log hewn, and 6" knotty pine paneling on the tongue and groove walls. Don't get so lost in here that you miss the double-header corners and decorative peeled posts by the doors.

When Bill and Jackie Fox decided it was time for a 3 Season room, they worked with Todd Jurs at Advance Design Studio to make their back yard dream come true. Situated on an acre lot in Gilberts, the Fox’s wanted to enjoy their yard year round, get away from the mosquitoes, and enhance their home’s living space with an indoor/outdoor space the whole family could enjoy. “Todd and his team at Advance Design Studio did an outstanding job meeting my needs. Todd did an excellent job helping us determine what we needed and how to design the space”, says Bill. The 15’ x 18’ 3 Season’s Room was designed with an open end gable roof, exposing structural open beam cedar rafters and a beautiful tongue and groove Knotty Pine ceiling. The floor is a tongue and groove Douglas Fir, and amenities include a ceiling fan, a wall mounted TV and an outdoor pergola. Adjustable plexi-glass windows can be opened and closed for ease of keeping the space clean, and use in the cooler months. “With this year’s mild seasons, we have actually used our 3 season’s room year round and have really enjoyed it”, reports Bill. “They built us a beautiful 3-season room. Everyone involved was great. Our main builder DJ, was quite a craftsman. Josh our Project Manager was excellent. The final look of the project was outstanding. Don't be surprised if customers want to come back and chat a few times in a WoodHaven office like this one. The walls are done with our custom 8" knotty pine and stained with a semi-transparent green so you can see all the knots and character of the wood. Check out the 4" inside corner. It's custom accents like this that make a room special.

The structural Douglas Fir post and ceiling beams set the tone along with the stain matched 2x6 pine tongue and groove ceiling –this also serves as the finished floor surface at the loft above. Dreaming a cozy feel at the kitchen/dining area a darker stain was used to visual provide a shorter ceiling height to a 9’ plate line. The knotty Alder floating shelves and wall cabinetry share their own natural finish with a chocolate glazing. The island cabinet was of painted maple with a chocolate glaze as well, this unit wanted to look like a piece of furniture that was brought into the ‘cabin’ rather than built-in, again with a value minded approach. The flooring is a pre-finished engineered ½” Oak flooring, and again with the darker shade we wanted to emotionally deliver the cozier feel for the space. Additionally, lighting is essential to a cook’s –and kitchen’s- performance. We needed there to be ample lighting but only wanted to draw attention to the pendants above the island and the dining chandelier. We opted to wash the back splash and the counter tops with hidden LED strips. We then elected to use track lighting over the cooking area with as small of heads as possible and in black to make them ‘go away’ or get lost in the sauce.

This majestic hallway reflects how beautifully WoodHaven building materials compliment a high-end full log home. Our knotty pine paneling, doors and trim -- even the staircase, with its cedar railing -- are perfect accents in a chinked full log home.
