Looking to upgrade my builder-grade kitchen

I'm looking to upgrade my builder-grade kitchen by incorporating stacked cabinets. However, I'm unsure how to integrate the narrow far left cabinet into this design without it looking awkward with a cabinet stacked on top. Suggestions to add cabinets over the sink for a cohesive look have been made, but I'm not keen on that idea. Any advice or alternatives would be greatly appreciated

personally i would not try to add an additional layer of cabs - it’s a nice kitchen, I would move in and enjoy it

I don't see the benefit of upper cabinets here. The space looks mostly modern, and upper cabinets most often look more traditional. For sure, it's not a clearcut "upgrade." There's nothing wrong with the current style that won't be fixed by populating it with color and activity. It just looks empty and lonesome right now.
