Working with Scott and his FEC crew has been an exceptional experience during our condo renovation. From our first interaction, we felt listened-to and cared-for. Our reno project presented a ton of “fun discoveries” leading to qualified discussion and thoughtful problem-solving. Every issue was handled with focus and determination, with 100% success for a long list of puzzle-pieces. Communication was clear, transparent, and forthcoming throughout the work, budget was well-considered (and met!), and all services rendered were delivered with care, punctuated by warm humour and friendly conversation. In the end, we are now becoming comfortable in our beautiful new home and are grateful for the friendly professional support and guidance received along the journey from FEC’s people. Scott did a fantastic job managing our kitchen+ renovation project. There were a few adjustments and tweaks along the way, all of which were handled in a professional and collaborative manner. Everyone worked as a team and Scott was particularly committed to ensuring we were part of every decision so that the end result was something we could all feel good about. We are absolutely thrilled with our new kitchen and can't recommend FEC highly enough.

We had FEC bid and work with us on a few Reno plans that never came to be, but they were still willing to work with us when we finally had a project that we went ahead with. It was a complicated project with a lot of small pieces, and in the end we are very happy with the results. I have good faith in the honesty and ability of Scott and his team and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again for future projects.

Scott and his team worked on a big bathroom and living room renovation in our home last year, right at the start of the pandemic. We had to shut down the project for a time, right after demolition.... which was a bit nerve wracking, but they helped us set up our laundry for temporary use. Much time and effort was spent protecting our existing spaces and glass railings, carpets, etc. Despite the uncertainty with suppliers, trades, health and safety of everyone involved, Fifth Element calmly and competently came through and delivered us a lovely successful project, that wasn't too delayed either! I am the designer, so I had some pretty specific details and ideas. These were respected and often we had a chance to develop them and improve them to suit conditions, but always it was a respectful collaboration. You can see from the photos there was a lot more going on than meets the eye today. We couldn't be happier with the outcome.

Scott and team are super professional delivering projects on time and on budget. They take real care in developing an detailed project estimate and project plan that avoids change orders. They also work with a good team of subtrades that reflect there own professionalism and skill.

Planning a major 2 floor renovation, I met Fifth Element through my designer, Corey Klassen. They are his primary contractor and from the initial meeting, professionalism and quality were projected and delivered. The main requirement was adding a load bearing beam when the kitchen was expanded into a formal sitting room. The project was a complete kitchen renovation, flooring, staircase, doors, lighting, cabinetry, ensuite and paint, throughout. The project totalled 6 months and the crew was most accomodating as I was occupying the house for most of that time. Scott is a talented and knowledgeable problem solver, that patiently explained the plan, progression and offered numerous solutions to any issue. Personable, honest and attention to detail are his greatest assets. Dave kept me up to date on the budget, timelines and logistical concerns. The crew were craftsman and Scott has chosen his team, well. I couldn't offer a higher recommend, they treated my reno as if it was their own.

Last year, Scott and his team at Fifth Element Construction did an extensive reno on my condo. They gutted it, moved walls and totally changed an old condo into a new one. They were on time, on budget and super nice. They did such an outstanding job that I moved into my rental condo and have been thoroughly enjoying my new space. Thank you!!!

November 2019 We completed another project with 5th Element Construction in June. Professional, reliable, hard working are only a few words to describe Scott and the 5th Element team. In the fall of 2016 was our 1st project with them. The job included replacing patio decks, new vinyl decking and railings on our rental building. Scott always kept us up to date on all aspects of the job.The project ran extremely well, with very few surprises and those were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Communication with our building manager, myself and especially with our tenants was great. Scott and the team were always respectful and courteous. In 2017 we had the remaining decks completed. This year we totally renovated one of the suites in our building. Scott, the team at 5th Element and the all the different contractors that worked on the project were AWESOME! And the end result was just beautiful. We have dealt with many contractors and trades for more than 30 years but 5th Element have been one of the best. Their quality, pride in their work, job site cleanliness and safety and definitely their communication throughout the job has been Top Notch.
