We bought character hickory hardwood flooring at Gregory's and hired them to install it on the entire first floor of our house plus the hallway on the second floor. Gregory Flooring provided a turnkey installation service that included removal and disposal of the underlayment under the old vinyl flooring in kitchen, bathroom and one hallway, removal and disposal of the old wall-to-wall rugs, removal and re-installation of the baseboards and toilet bowl, disposal of packing material, moving washer and dryer plus moving furniture items around that could not be put elsewhere during installation. They also looked for and treated squeaky floor sections. The boxes with the floor boards were delivered a week before the work started so that there was time to get the wood acclimated to the humidity level in the house. Gregory's sent two experienced installers who turned out to be true craftsmen. They masterfully selected the length and coloring of the 5 inch wide boards to make the floor appear lively and interesting. They worked efficiently, knew every trick in the bag needed in particularly difficult areas and did not make any of the mistakes you read about in related literature. The two guys worked without creating a mess, cleaned up each day before they went home, collected their tools and stored it in an orderly fashion in one of the rooms. They even cleaned the garage every day where some of the woodwork was done. The installation was a masterfully executed piece of craftsmanship. It was a joy to watch the guys work. Amazing how they managed to nail down the first row of boards so that they could continue throughout the whole space with an unaltered width of boards at the transition from one room to the next. Some special requests we had, e.g. the modification of the toe kicks under the kitchen cabinets, were carried out immaculately. On the second floor, the transitions from the hallway to the carpeted rooms came out perfectly with no bothersome threshold present. The last act was to reinstall the baseboards. Not only did they know where all the tiny pieces had to go (try that yourself), they also covered the nail holes and ran a narrow bead of caulking along the seams to make visible gaps disappear. The baseboards look as if they never had been taken off. All in all, we are a set of very happy customers. If you ever wondered where you might get the kind of craftsmen you see in how-to shows on TV for your flooring project, go to Gregory's and you'll find them there. We recommend Gregory Flooring and the helpful staff to everybody who plans to install new flooring or to repair existing one. Lastly I'd like to add that the price we paid is locally very competitive. We also felt taken care of very well by Gregory's staff in terms of hospitality and knowledge. On top of the big flooring project, we bought tiles and materials from Gregory's for a guest bathroom upgrade.

We had a major update to our living room and kitchen and we could not be any happier with the service, quality and installation. Our new hardwood floor was installed perfectly and it completely transforms our space. The kitchen remodel has also been terrific and we love the new glass tile that was installed. Great selection and service - I would recommend them highly!

I have been working with Gregory J. Fine Flooring and Design since 2005 and as an interior designer, I cannot say enough wonderful things about them. Greg, the owner, is not only a knowledgeable and fair and honest business owner, he is a man of utmost integrity and a terrific person. Louise is his right hand gal and she is a fantastic designer and equally wonderful. They have always taken care of me and my clients with professionalism and have provided great service with above and beyond expectations. I would and do recommend everyone who is looking for flooring, as well as cabinetry to shop there for all of those needs.
