I have had the wonderful opportunity to with with Katharine and Laurel on a few projects over the years. These ladies are kind, focused, detailed, ORGANIZED, and have a great vision. Katharine has an eye for design and level of detail that is clearly shown in her work. Should you decide to work with Katharine Andrews interiors, you will not be disappointed with the outcome!

I am sitting on my new porch rocker enjoying a cup of coffee, and thinking about how well the frame and cushion on it match and compliment my existing furniture and pillows. This wouldn’t have happened had Katharine not created a vision board of how everything would look together and ordered custom sample swatches. Colors look so different in person compared to on a website! Even better is the fact that Katharine shopped around to get us the best pricing for the items, and broke down the costs in her proposals so we could make intelligent decisions. Many thanks, Katharine, for such a beautiful and professional touch, and for looking out for our best interest. You made such a big difference! Ruta Brigden

We purchased a house in Northbrook, IL after moving from Indiana due to a job change. The house, a 1960’s colonial, we bought was in need of updating, but had enough room for our family of 6 and had a large backyard where our kids could play. We liked the proximity to my husband’s job and the schools for our kids was a good fit. Unfortunately, the kitchen needed an overhaul; we didn’t even have a pantry. We knew that we needed a professional to help us in the process. We were introduced to Katharine Andrews Interiors (KAI) and loved Katie’s plans from the start. We were looking for a large island where our entire family could sit and of course better flow and function within the space. We are an active family, and function is key for us. KAI designed a new kitchen, dining room, and laundry room layout where we could see both 2D and 3D drawings. She also provided us with concept boards, which I loved and were very helpful to see options side by side. KAI was instrumental in all phases of the project. During the project, KAI communicated with the millworkers and contractors to manage the project effectively and maintaining the design scheme by providing them with architectural drawings and concept boards with instructions and diagrams. KAI helped us choose everything for the project, from cabinets and pulls to our island seating and new window coverings for the space. We couldn’t be happier with our space and the choices that were made during the project. The detail spent on the “small things” completed the space and took it to the next level. On a consistent basis, KAI demonstrated a high level of precision and attention to detail which sets KAI apart from other interior designers. She used her problem-solving skills and expertise numerous times during the project and we are so grateful for our beautiful and functional space! We cannot wait to have Katie help us with our next home project!

I recently received a design consultation from Katharine Andrews. She is wonder to work with. She has a lot of creative ideas and great spacial awareness. Katharine is able to use every inch of space in such a creative way. She was so easy to work with and really listened to my needs and incorporated them into her designs. I look forward to work with her on my laundry room next.

We built a Stainless Steel range hood for one of KAI's kitchens. Katie is a very talented designer with a keen eye for detail. She was very professional and super easy to work with. We love building lasting relationships with companies like KAI and we look forward to the opportunity of working with them again.

I worked with Katie to photograph one of her projects. She was a joy to work with — very professional yet personable. She allowed me to do my work, but offered her input on what she needed for her portfolio.

Katie was a joy to work with. She was very flexible both with accommodating our requirements and our schedules. She made herself available to us whenever we needed her, often at a very short notice. Most important, she was invaluable as a sounding board for our thoughts and ideas, in researching and suggesting options that would work for us and in many cases help us visualize our options using her design tools before we make the final decision.

Katie has an amazing great classy sense of style and quality. She knows how to bring your custom vision to life and help you make decisions! My project involves a traditional yet timeless look, and I could not have done it without her! She helps take the stress out of the decision making process. Katie is an absolute joy to work with!

Kathy is a very knowledgeable interior designer. Based on interactions with several Merchandise Mart showroom personnel whose showrooms we visited, she is both well known and highly regarded. Kathy quickly grasped what I was looking for, had insightful immediate observations, and helped refine my thinking as we walked around several showrooms. Her energy/follow up have been outstanding not to mention her patience as I continue to ponder my decisions.
