Where do I start!!! I cannot emphasize enough the level of commitment, professionalism and detail that Lori and her team at McNeil Design Group provide. She truly has transformed our home into our dream....and they did it all throughout Covid!!! What an absolute treat knowing that every detail of every project (kitchen, walk-in-closet and laundry room) rests in the capable hands of Lori. Lori will resource absolutely every source to make sure your project is complete not only to your standards, but to hers as well. I would highly recommend Lori for any and all of your home renovation projects....she is an absolute pleasure to work with....she takes the time and effort to get to know you and your vision and turns it into an absolute stunning reality!!! This was indeed the worst experience I have ever had, and I have had a lot of renovations with many houses and condos. Lori arranged to completely gut our kitchen without ensuring that new material was in stock, knowing that one year into the pandemic it would be challenging to obtain new material. I was without a kitchen for six months and was unable to use my office, dining room, garage, because all the kitchen items were stored there. We experienced so many errors with Lori including large ceiling tiles falling down overnight after being installed damaged the newly sanded and stained floors and Lori refused to correct this damage. She also refused to fix the fireplace frame that was incorrectly installed. I did consult one of the top lawyers in this industry to review this situation including the contract and fees, he said that in 35 years of working in this industry he has never seen such a bad contract and project management. I could go on with many more errors but I don't think this is needed. My sole intent is to hopefully save someone from experiencing this and for Lori to learn from this experience. I would say it would be wise for her to stick to being a designer which she is great at and leave the project management and contract dealing to someone else.

Thank you for taking time to write of your experience renovating your 100+ year old Victorian Farmhouse with McNeil Design Group Interiors during this historic pandemic.

From our 1st meeting immense communication of Policies, Trade & Product delivery schedules/delays & the impact of renovating during Covid-19 was conveyed to keep you informed. Our Team worked hard while adhering to the distancing & masking guidelines outlined by the Premier of Ontario. The Project was on schedule until the sudden & unexpected notification from our Supplier that the specialized material necessary to create your custom Cabinetry Doors was completely depleted & an ETA unknown. Suppliers, Trades, Businesses & Customers were all impacted during the summer of 2021. I & my Assistant communicated multiple times per week the status of these delays & adjusted the schedules of the Trades (Appliance Installer, Countertop Templator, Backsplash Installer etc) to ensure the tightest schedule possible.

McNeil Design Group Interiors designs & executes high caliber fully custom renovations. Through integrity, planning, communication & dogged determination the MDGI Team persevered this tragic pandemic to completely transform a very old, unsafe Kitchen space & the under utilized adjoining spaces to create a completed, high functioning, safe & unique Kitchen for your character Home in 6 months. We are sorry you feel this way. We are grateful for the opportunity to design this special heart of your Home.

Lori has been easy to deal with, polite and professional in all of our interactions. She was very understanding when our electricians couldn't be on site as quickly as she would have preferred. Lori worked with us to make sure that our electrical products matched her design plans. All of our invoices to McNeil Designs have been paid quickly and fully. As a custom cabinet manufacturer, Shelburne Kitchens has worked with McNeil Design Group Interiors on a number of projects. Lori McNeil-Chong's attention to detail and her ability to perceive a client's taste and expectations has been a definite asset. My wife and I were having trouble picking paint colours and a design focus for our new home. We did some research online and found McNeil Design Group. Lori came in for a consultation, we spent almost 4 hours showing our house and some of our inspirations that we have found. We had tested many colours by painting test patches on different walls, unfortunately none of them looked right in the space. After our meeting and Lori presented us eith here colour plan we immediately loved them. We felt like she totally understood our collective style. Her colour plan turned our open concept house into a cohesive unit and fit our style to a tee. I would recommend Lori to anyone that is frustrated with picking paint colours and looking to define their personal style. I look forward to hiring Lori again for our new house.

I used McNeil Design for a colour consultation and was so happy with the results. I was having an incredibly difficult time picking colours for our house and Lori showed us how the existing lighting, flooring and wall colours were conflicting with each other. She really listened and understood our style and selected wall colours that we absolutely love. I would not hesitate to recommend McNeil Design group to others and certainly would use them again.
