Modern Tile and Carpets

After two horrible experiences with the big box stores, we've had 2 excellent experiences with Modern Flooring. One big box store didn't bring the carpet, tore up the old carpet and then realized they didn't have the new carpet in stock. Duh!

I am sitting in our office that reeks of VCT flooring. It's been over a year since we hired Modern to install a new tile floor at our office. We really wanted a green option like linoleum, but the minimum price that they offered for lino or marmoleum was ~$16k, twice the $8k price that we paid for VCTs. I hugely regret getting the VCTs, especially because I found out that we could have gotten lino directly from the contractor for the same price that we paid to Modern for the VCT. Modern never came during the installation, nor afterward, so they added no value and made us deal directly with the third party contractor, whom we were not paying, to resolve all sorts of issues. Aside from the tacky school/hospital look of VCT, I am breathing in the coating and VCT fumes every day, so I can't stop fuming about the huge disservice that we received from Modern!!
