We have used Rachel Kate Design for several projects: window treatments, room refreshes, screened porch addition, basement finish, and complete design furnishing (and I mean from scratch) of a vacation rental—she can do it all! She has a strong background in design but also understands the complexities and timeline requirements of construction so she keeps the project moving and on time. She is easy to work with, creative and reasonably priced. I highly recommend Rachel for your next home improvement project, large or small!

Rachel did an amazing job designing an addition to our house. We added a back level split with 2 bedrooms/bath on LL and a game room with wet bar above as well as a 2nd master closet off our master bathroom. She added some creative ideas along the way that weren't part of our initial concept that we wanted and she also played project manager for us holding the contractors accountable for the timeline along the way. We had a couple issues pop during the project and she was great at addressing them timely and keeping things on task. I would recommend Rachel to anyone.

When my wife and I were finally able realize our vision of creating a giant LODGE that could accommodate 20+ guests in luxurious comfort, it did not take us long to discover that our 'expertise' stopped at "having a vision." We were fortunate to partner with Rachel Kate who from day one was every bit as excited about the project as we were. She's worked on so many UNBELIEVABLE projects in exclusive locations for discerning clients that we were immediately comfortable handing over the reigns. It's so much fun to show the property to people for the first time! Lots of wows and OMGs, and uncomfortable questions like, "What a great idea - did you think of that?" Of course, we readily take credit. After all, we were smart enough to hire Rachel!

Rachel is extremely talented and a veteran in the design industry. This is evident on each and every project that she is a part of. Her ability to help her clients envision the finish of a space at the early conceptual stage of a project is incomparable. She takes the time to get to know the client and their specific needs for each space. Combining this information with her expertise and creativity produces a personalized design that is customized to reflect the client. On top of all of this, she is a complete joy to be around and work with. Rachel is always smiling and brings an unmatched charismatic energy to each and every project.

Rachel is an amazing designer and a joy to work with. She was able to take my scattered ideas, magazine pictures and Pinterest boards and turn my vision into a beautiful home. Rachel is professional but also fun and engaging. My teenage boys were both excited to see her design boards and collaborate on changes. I'm amazed as we go through the final decorating just how spot on her vision is for what works for me, my family and our style.

My husband and I were very pleased with Rachel Kate’s help in designing our kitchen. Right from the start she tapped into what our style was and presented great ideas. She was very respectful, professional and gave us samples to choose from in the convenience of our home. The kitchen turned out beyond our expectations... we live it! Rachel helped us design our "modern rustic" home in Northern Minnesota. She was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the project. She helped us with a myriad of questions from the builder and made the whole process so much easier. All of her recommendations were on point. We could not be happier with the end result.

Rachel has an astute ability to walk into a space and immediately envision how to maximize function without sacrificing style. She listened to our ideas and needs, and then elevated the whole thing. She gave us our dream kitchen - bringing more usable workspace and surfaces, opening up the flow between kitchen and dining room, and making our range the crown jewel of the room. The kitchen is our favorite room in the house! Rachel has also designed a full bathroom remodel and basement build out for us. She gives great attention to detail and brought every project in on budget. I recommend her highly.
