I selected Lynne via a referral and "met" her over the phone, as I hadn't yet moved to Port Townsend. I knew within that first conversation she was the one to transform the main bathroom, even though I was not certain what I was trying to achieve as it takes me some time to start to get a feel for a place. However, this bath HAD to be changed! And it's stunning. Lynne has a gift for narrowing my focus - because I love so many different styles and colors - so going on our shopping excursions was so much fun and efficient. I love my bathroom, so much so that we've just started a full kitchen remodel! She's worth every penny! (The photos are mine, and the color looks off due to lighting and taking them on my phone. In real life they match perfectly.)

Lynne was a dream to work with. First she asked me what was important to me. She listened closely and delivered her craft back to me in a very thoughtful, sensitive and professional manner. She really knows her stuff: design, color, lighting, materials, spacial relations etc. She held my hand through the whole process, including introducing me to great contractors, cabinet makers, floor and counter people. I absolutely love my kitchen!

Lynne is a god send to our family. She helped us create spaces I didn't even know existed. With her support we have transformed every room in our home. Lynne has you covered in everyway; service with professionalism, on time to appointments, listens to what you want, attention to detail, easy to work with, has a way with color so you select just the right paint color every time, has an eye for placement of items in your home and pictures on walls, goes above and beyond creating a "style board" with a few choices of any items needed (lighting fixtures, rugs, art work to name a few), wall paper selections and contacts, she can step back and see things like no one I have ever met and she is SUPER FUN to work with!

We recently purchased a townhome that needed extensive remodeling including a new kitchen and updating a masterbath. I knew of Lynne through a mutual friend and was excited to work with her. Lynne guided us from the very beginning of the design process all the way through the implementation and the results have been stunning! We are completely thrilled with the outcome!! The space is so much more than we could have imagined and fits us perfectly. Lynne has been attentive and patient, helping us with the many choices we had to make but her real talent lies in posing deeper questions about lifestyle. This has helped make the results personal and reflective of what's important to us. From a practical standpoint, her advice and experience saved us from making some mistakes and kept us within our budget. She also came up with creative solutions for some tricky problems, one being how to turn a drab 1980's space into something fresh and exciting. Lynn helped transform my dysfunctional kitchen (built in late 1800s and added on to) into a space of beauty and delight. I literally, and on a regular basis, even after a year, sing: I love my kitchen/I love my kitchen. If you’re debating about hiring a professional because of the cost, I can tell you it’s worth every cent. Lynn’s experience is value-added, and it shows in the tiniest of details. From a pull out drawer that hides a step stool (I’m less than 5’) to the cleaning closet, and light choices. She works with you, listens to your needs and wants, and helps guide you toward choices that work for you and your budget. She’s realistic and affordable.

I met Lynne in 2005 when I needed my kitchen remodeled. Working with her was delightful. She engaged me in every step of the process; she has a command of the intricacies of her craft and is willing to 'think outside the box'; she is efficient and focused. Since my kitchen project, I have consulted with her when choosing paint for walls, when selecting fabric for re-upholstering and when choosing window treatments. There is not a room in the house that has not been touched by Lynne's expertise.

We enjoyed and valued Lynne's creative and practical design for our kitchen remodel. Lynne appreciated the character of our home and how we use this space. The final plan enabled us to obtain estimates from several contractors in our area. The knowledge and guidance in selecting countertops, sinks and fixtures, tile and also an electrical plan were a significant help in keeping the project on time ane on budget. She was very open minded to our ideals and provided feedback quickly. Lynne is easy to work with, brings energy and excitement , very professional. and made the process fun. We are also thrilled with the results!

Our 1885 house needed a new kitchen and bathroom +. Having just moved to the area, we didn't know where to begin. This was our first complete remodel, and Lynne's professional expertise and support was invaluable. Lynne was sensitive to the house style, our taste and needs, timeline and budget . She drew up a detailed blueprint ready for use by us and/or any of our workers. She provided various suggestions for quality cabinets, floors, other fixtures, materials and workers, even accompanying us around the area to meet various retailers in the field. We also found our own sources for some materials. Her extensive knowledge of the field was evident. (She frequently updates her fund of knowledge through regular attendance at workshops and conferences.) She was truly the leader in pulling our project together, streamlining the process so we could finish our new, light and bright spaces in a timely fashion. We're very happy with the results.

Lynn really heard what I was asking for...and has a keen eye for seeing what was possible, moving beyond what I had envisioned to something much more workable and beautiful. She made suggestions that hadn't even occurred to me and the space is SO MUCH better because those suggestions are now a reality! She honored the budget I came up with and encouraged me to explore new color schemes...loved my whole experience with this remodel!

We bought a new home & Lynne drew up all the designs for our remodel including living room cabinetry, new laundry room, kitchen backsplash & full bar for the lower level. She recommended resources to do the work & helped field their questions. It is beautiful & went very smoothly. Lynne has a great sense of color & design & really listened to what we wanted. I look forward to our next project together!

Spaces Into Places has guided us through a major kitchen remodel, and most recently a lovely Arts and Crafts tile redesign for our living room fireplace. Lynne is great to work with and skilled at helping you discover what you like, and what will integrate well with your house. She creates amazing hand drawn design plans which are works of art by themselves. She was also able to help connect us with contractors that we loved. Our kitchen was transformed from a drab 70's remodel to something quite beautiful with much more efficient use of space. One of Lynne's best suggestions was the addition of a double window which now allows us to look out into the branches of a crab apple tree and the back yard instead of a blank wall. She has also helped us with paint color and wallpaper choices at other times. We loved working with Lynne!
