Vadara Quartz Surfaces

I had Vadara Quartz Fresco installed and it’s pretty but you can see spots on it when sun hits counters like if it had grease. My salesperson asked to send someone out but honestly I hope with time they will disappear. I’m comparing to my old granite that lasted 20 years and had a perfect sheen to it.

Well, I have put the Vadara Nuovo Sample through the wringer stain-wise and it is still pristine and white. I let wine, mustard, blue food coloring and balsamic vinegar sit for 4 hrs. I had researched and was told food coloring permanently stains all quartz. Not this one. Within 4 mins I had all stains off just by using dish soap and a Mr. Clean sponge. It was so easy. I had been worried about stains but feel very comfortable now ordering this material.

Buyer Beware. Have had two slabs and each one has cracked. First installed in 2018, cracked in the corner in 2019. Replaced at the fabricators expense. Cracked again in 2020. Filed a warranty claim w Vadara in January 2021. Still awaiting resolution.

I just got Vadara Dorada installed by recommendation of my designer. To my dismay, most stains do not come off after applying cleaners that Vadara recommends in its instructions. I expected Vadara quartz to be low maintenance while in reality, it's the highest maintenance countertop I can imagine! We constantly watch for spills and drops, but we miss them anyway, and then they don't come off. Fortunately, the quartz has veins, so non-circular stains are not very visible. But the circular stains are. Only bleach works to some extent. If you are considering this quartz, do not buy it. Designers who recommend this quartz do not live with it, and therefore, they do not see how easily it gets stained.

Vadara is one of the most beautiful quartz lines I've seen on the market. As a designer I look for beauty and functionality when specifying materials and this fits all criteria. We used it on the reception desk at our firm and we get compliments on it all of the time - people can't believe that it isn't real marble. I must add that the installer is crucial. Do not "cheap out" on the contractor- hire a professional who knows hoe to properly handle quartz to avoid any issues.

While I do like the color I am disappointed that the counter stained. A bottle of red wine on the counter (I did not notice any wine on the outside but I guess it must have been there) left a circular stain. The whole point of getting this quartz is because real carrara marble is a nightmare and stains easily. Sadly this is not much better.
