I posted na week or so ago but think in my post was too vague! I love to follow posts on houzz and would like input on decorating my bedroom! I probably went about this in a wrong manor but I fell in love with these curtains and mirror. The mirror is great quality with each panel's glass beveled. I am usually a plain Jane girl and the curtains are way outside my usual box but they whispered buy me and I'm not sorry I did! My walls Re newly painted revere pewter. the trim is simply ultra pure white from Sherwin Williams. I really can't afford to change the trim color for awhile as there are lots of windows and doors. The 1990 honey pine dresser and cedar chest will be going. My closet is organized and storage outside of it is not needed. I have some ideas but really have no experience combining prints and patterns and putting a room together. I am a wheelchair user so the funky medical equipment like the trapeze and patient lift need to stay! All ideas and suggestions are welcome! I would LOVE to see the room photo shop'd up if I could!
Things I can identify:
1. When I remove the pine furniture, what would look nice under the picturw windows whwre storage isn't needed? A little sitting area?
2. There is no room for night tables, and the builder grase pendants are not very elegant. The light fixtures can only be 12" in diameter cause of the lift's ceiling track. What kind of lighting?
3. The curtains stay. Should I stick with a simple ivory coverlet or is it possible to add and mix neutral prints.?
4. What types of throw pillows for the bed?
5. Would the trellis patterned rug work with the curtains or are other options better? I can't do sisal or juste though I love the look as they are very difficult to get up over with my wheelchair.
6. Any and all other ideas and suggestions welcome!
7. curtain rod placement? The curtains are 96 and so are my ceilings... I sew so hemming at any length is fine.
8. haven't purchased the headboard but if everyone likes it, the price is right and the reviews are great!
9. purchased the coverlet and shams but it can be returned.
