Dura Supreme Cabinetry
This beautiful lake house kitchen design was created by Kim D. Hoegger at Kim Hoegger Home in Rockwell, Texas mixing two-tones of Dura Supreme Cabinetry. Designer Kim Hoegger chose a rustic Knotty Alder wood species with a dark patina stain for the lower base cabinets and kitchen island and contrasted it with a Classic White painted finish for the wall cabinetry above.
This unique and eclectic design brings bright light and character to the home.

Nestled into sloping topography, the design of this home allows privacy from the street while providing unique vistas throughout the house and to the surrounding hill country and downtown skyline. Layering rooms with each other as well as circulation galleries, insures seclusion while allowing stunning downtown views. The owners' goals of creating a home with a contemporary flow and finish while providing a warm setting for daily life was accomplished through mixing warm natural finishes such as stained wood with gray tones in concrete and local limestone. The home's program also hinged around using both passive and active green features. Sustainable elements include geothermal heating/cooling, rainwater harvesting, spray foam insulation, high efficiency glazing, recessing lower spaces into the hillside on the west side, and roof/overhang design to provide passive solar coverage of walls and windows. The resulting design is a sustainably balanced, visually pleasing home which reflects the lifestyle and needs of the clients.

Dancer Concrete Design
This was a new construction project where a reactive stain was used on the concrete surface. A water-based urethane sealer was used to give the floor depth of color and a satin finish. The stain produces a variegated and marbled look on the concrete surface. Stained concrete floors by Dancer Concrete Design of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Home built by Bob Buecher Homes of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Trueform Concrete, LLC
Trueform Concrete created two custom concrete kitchen countertop islands. The island countertops had double sided integral waterfall legs and were casted 3" thick in a cool grey tone. The main sink location featured a waterfall leg and a portion of the countertops extended into the patio to act as a bar top. The waterfall legs stopped 1" above the finished wood floor to give a floating slab appearance. Specifications are 126L x 45W and 112L x 45W.

Trueform Concrete
In this outdoor kitchen design the homeowner chose concrete countertops to pull colors from the stone work throughout the property. Custom samples were poured and a color was selected to use for the concrete countertops.
The signature finish was selected to pull in some more color depth and give a more rustic look. The edge detail thickness was chosen at 2” to give countertop some heavy presence against all the stone work.
A raised section acted as an eat-in and drink bar top while the lower section acts as the working and grilling area of the countertops. Trueform Concrete used a UV stable topical sealer to protect the concrete form exposure and the northeast weather.

This project reimagines an under-used back yard in Portland, Oregon, creating an urban garden with an adjacent writer’s studio. Taking inspiration from Japanese precedents, we conceived of a paving scheme with planters, a cedar soaking tub, a fire pit, and a seven-foot-tall cedar fence. A maple tree forms the focal point and will grow to shade the yard.
